“Judging others” | Matthew 7: 1-6

These six verses are a mirror no one easily asks to look into.
It opens with one of Jesus' most quoted and misunderstood commands. He exposes something uncomfortable about the way we see others and ourselves, raising questions about judgment, hypocrisy, and the standard God holds us to. This Sunday, we'll sit with what these words reveal about the character of God and His call to a different kind of honesty. What exposes about humans and our tendency to measure others while ignoring our own blind spots. Now, how do we come before God?

“Ask, Seek, Nook” | Matthew 7: 7 -12

Three words that sound like instructions — but what if they're actually an invitation? The way we pray quietly reveals the God we think we're praying to. Do we approach Him like a judge who needs convincing, or like a Father who is already leaning in? This Sunday we'll let Jesus reframe who God is — and ask what it would look like to come to Him the way a child does. Not because we've earned the right, but because we know whose door we're knocking on.

"The Narrow Gate" | Matthew 7: 13-14

Humans like easy roads and room to decide later. We are wired for comfort and the quiet relief of blending. We tend to follow the crowd not out of conviction, but because it's simply easier than standing apart. So what do we do when Jesus draws a sharp line: two gates, two roads, two very different destinations? This Sunday, we sit with an uncomfortable question, not just which road we're on, but why the easier path feels so natural, and whether we've been choosing a direction at all, or simply drifting with the tide.

"A Tree and Its Fruit" | Matthew 7:15 - 20

Jesus doesn't warn about obvious enemies. He warns about wolves who look like sheep. Which says something unsettling about how deception works, and how vulnerable we could be to it. This Sunday, we'll sit with the thought of the fruits of a faithful life. What do I actually produce? How do we recognize false teaching, ideologies, ideas and those leaders behind them? What do people who call themselves spiritual leaders have to show in their lives?

"I Never Knew You" | Matthew 7:20-22

These may be the most sobering words in the entire Sermon on the Mount. What if we are not true followers of Christ, but we are only busy and active, convinced we are doing it right? They called Him Lord. They did things in His name. And yet. This Sunday, we will think of the distinction Jesus draws between activity and intimacy, between performing for God and actually knowing Him. What does it mean to be known by Jesus? And is it possible to be deeply involved in religious life while missing the one thing that matters most?

"The wise and foolish builders" | Matthew 7:24-29

Everyone builds, constantly. The question Jesus asks is not whether you are constructing something with your life; it is what you are building it on. Both builders in this story heard the same words. Both put in the work. The difference only showed when the storm came. This Sunday, we sit with the reality that foundations are invisible until they are tested and exposed, and that the storm is not a possibility but a certainty. What are you building on? And would it hold?
