For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

We get together, grab a coffee and say hello. From there, we open the Bible and learn from it together.

If you are new to faith, we encourage you to bring or get a Bible. The format encourages dialogue and time for questions. At the end of the study, we finish with prayer, where in groups of 3 to 4, one can choose to share a prayer request and to pray together.

We are currently walking through the Gospel of Matthew. We started in chapters 5-7, the Sermon on the Mount, which is Jesus’ manifesto of the kingdom of God, and a portrait of life lived as a beloved child of the Father. We walk through the text passage by passage, learning about the socio-political context, referencing related passages from the Old and New Testament, and asking ourselves three questions:

What does the text reveal about God?

What does the text reveal about humans?

What is our response?

We’re now moving through chapters that follow, which provide an account of Jesus’ ministry and the profound impact he had on the people he encountered.
